Red Glare

E-mail Print PDF

I'll be running a role-play storyline in Nomos called Red Glare, contact me or in Second Life as Pontifex Jenvieve.  It will start around July 4th and possibly run two to three weeks.

Premise: While the rest of the City is celebrating Independence Day, a man dies in a dark alley found with a tarot card and a busted up briefcase.  Seems like a deal that went bad, not unfamiliar to this town, but besides the curious belongings is the fact there is no sign of what killed this man, and the fact he isn't a man at all, but a replicant. Can you piece together the mystery?

Virtual Light

So I finally had a good excuse to play with Google's Sketchup this weekend.  I've been thinking of getting a loft bed (like a bunk bed but with a desk on the bottom, for space efficiency) from Ikea, but I wanted to know how well it would fit.  Plus with a virtual layout, I could try various arrangements to see what fits and what gives me the most space.  So I grabbed the old tape measurer and made this.

Home Layout

Not bad for an amateur. It's not precise, large spaces I rounded to the foot, smaller measurements to the half inch, but over all it gives me a better representation than merely eyeballing it.

 Bedroom/workshop

This is my room/workshop. Well, how its going to look after tonight.  Currently the desks are against the window, dresser is against the doorway wall with a small shelf beside it, and one rack against the other wall. There's also lots of shelving in the closet for parts. Currently there is some dead space, but with Sketchup, I was able to rearrange things first, put the small shelves under one desk, bring in another rack, and eliminate the dead space. Also, by placing the racks by the window, I'm hoping to increase ventilation, though now I need to worry about weather :D.

SALIGIA Casket Mk II - Progress

E-mail Print PDF

I'm very pleased with the progress I've made so far with the revamp of the SALIGIA Casket.  Information and history about the original version can be found here.  The new version has better texture (as you can see in the photos below), better scripting, and added features.  With this version you'll be able to not only have someone lay in the coffin, but you'll be able to open and close the lid.  I'm about a third way finished with this design, still some details and scripting I need to add plus a special gift.  Enjoy the photos.

XStreet Changes

E-mail Print PDF

Due to the new "No Freebies" Policy XStreet is implementing (Linden Lab Official:Managing Freebies on Xstreet SL Roadmap FAQ), I've taken my inventory temporarily off-line.  In the upcoming weeks, I'll be enhancing the inventory with both quality and quantity.  Placing the new items back online with only a nominal fee.

My XStreet "shop" started simply to offer to other role-players, props and items I made to meet the needs of a story at hand.  It was my way to give back to the community, not as XStreet likes to think as a "promotional tool."  The idea of being charged to offer these items seems a bit silly, so I've decided to begin selling these items for 1 USD, or roughly 300 Lindens.

As these were originally items that I made for a specific purpose, I typically just threw them into a box and made them available as "good enough for free."  However, it would not be right to charge extra without providing extra value.  The enhanced versions will include additional features, better script support, multiple configurations, better graphics, and graphical story depicting the item to better enhance your own stories.

Thank you for your patience and support.

Remember SALIGIA, when one deadly sin isn't enough.

The purpose of Narrator is create a chatterbot in a 3D virtual world for promoting role-play storylines, using a collection of interconnected stories that together paint a larger story, allowing players to discover clues and objectives to complete the storyline.

*note, this is not my best presentation as I've been sacrificing sleep on my week nights to work on this project.
